Develops, Finances, and Produces Major Independent Films

Lee’s creative vision and deep passion for storytelling led to the founding of LB Entertainment in 2015. Based in Los Angeles, the company has since produced and supported over sixty films, building a reputation for delivering powerful, thought-provoking stories in both film and television.

LB Entertainment has an unwavering dedication to developing, financing, and producing independent projects that resonate with global audiences. Its films have premiered at the world's most prestigious festivals— such as Sundance, Venice, Toronto, Tribeca, SXSW, Berlinale and Cannes—and have received wide international distribution and acclaim. Recent successes include May December (starring Natalie Portman and Julianne Moore), which earned an Academy Award nomination in 2024, and The Apprentice (starring Sebastian Stan and Jeremy Strong), which earned another two Academy Award nominations in 2025.

While serving as founder and CEO of LB Entertainment, Lee also speaks on multiple panels and advisory boards, utilizing her producing and executive producing experience to share advice with filmmakers around the world. For instance, she was a key voice on the panel, She Roars, the 2024 Cannes Film Festival panel about women trailblazing in Hollywood, and later this year will contribute her insight to Winston Baker’s panel on independent film financing at the Venice Film Festival. She has also been a member of the Investor Circle at the Cannes Film Festival each of the last three years.

Lee herself has won multiple awards, being named the Impact Producer of the year in 2018 while winning the TIMIF Impact Award shortly after in 2019. Under her stewardship, LB Entertainment has consistently attracted top-tier talent, with credits including The Card Counter (starring Oscar Isaac and Willem Dafoe), The Private War (starring Rosamund Pike), Freud’s Last Session (starring Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode), and Call Jane (starring Elizabeth Banks and Sigourney Weaver). The company’s commitment to bold and meaningful storytelling continues with the upcoming theatrical releases of The Housewife (starring Naomi Watts), Paper Tiger (starring Scarlett Johansson, Miles Teller and Adam Driver), The Wizard of the Kremlin (starring Jude Law, Alicia Vikander and Paul Dano), and The Thing with Feathers (starring Benedict Cumberbatch).
